No he tenido problemas con el SSD, pero el pedido me lo dejaron en el buzón donde cualquiera podría haberlo cogido con bastante facilidad. De hecho especificaba en el paquete que había que dejarlo en el buzon. Le doy un 0 a amazon.He instalado el disco en un mac mini del 2012 y este es el resultado 181 mb de escritura y 500 de lectura

    Nunca había utilizado un disco duro sólido, y debo decir que es espectacular el rendimiento que le saca a la máquina.
    He comprado este disco duro para instalar solo el Sistema Operativo en el (windows 8), y va muy muy bien.
    Con los ajustes correspondientes, logro arrancar la máquina entre 15 y 25 segundos (windows cargado). Cierto es que windows 8 arranca muy rápido, pero junto con este disco, los tiempos de carga son como los de una tablet, y se agradece mucho.
    Si quieres darle mas uso al disco (instalar juegos y tal), puede que este te quede pequeño, pero para el sistema operativo y algunos programas, 128GB de disco creo que son suficientes.

    Se ha comprado para dar nueva vida a un antiguo portátil (un Dell de hace 8 años) al que Windows 7 se la quedaba ya un poco (bastante) grande. La mejora ha sido espectacular. Su rendimiento en tareas cotidianas (carga de programas, tiempos de encendido y apagado...) supera al de un ordenador actual con disco disco duro mecánico. Además quiero señalar que el sistema no se ha instalado de cero, sino que se ha hecho una transferencia completa del SO por comodidad (con la consiguiente pérdida de optimización) y, pese a todo, funciona francamente bien.

    Está muy bien, pero la velocidad de escritura no la pone por ningún lado y creo que deberían así como en los discos duros de otras marcas lo ponen, ya que es lento entre comillas, a mí me va muy bien, pero me llevé una sorpresa al ver la velocidad de escritura.

    He instalado este SSD en un imac 27 late 2009 en lugar de la superdrive con el adaptador de Thenatural2020. Ahira, el equipo apenas tarda unos segundos en arrancar. Tenia dudas entre este Crucial y el samsung 840 y despues de investigar por internet creo que mi eleccion fue la correcta. Tengo instalado yosemite, el cual ya no permite habilitar TRIM. La pagina web de Crucial informa que no es necesario habilitarlo en este SSD por lo que estoy el doble de satisfecho.

    Great little SSD. Bought one of these to throw into my parents desktop to give it a little booat. Their PC is an old store bought HP from 2009 that I've been slowly upgrading for eem over the past few years so it could be faster and game. Some RAM here. A new GPU there. It is a pretty speedy system despite its age and games well but the start up times and overall responsiveness was seriously lacking. The 5400 RPM WD Green 1TB drive just couldn't keep up.

    After much deliberation I chose this drive in the128GB flavor. I chose it over the Samsung 840 Evo that I use in my own gaming rig and every other PC I have in my apartment and my NAS. I know they are great drives and the wrote speeds are def superior to the MX100 but it is quite a bit more money and it wasn't needed in this application. Especially since the motherboard only has SATA II.

    The drive installed in a few seconds. Just plugged in the SATA power and cable. Then I installed Windows 8.1 which only took a few minutes and I was up and running. I installed all the programs that were needed and did some benchmarking.

    Despite the SATA II bottleneck the system flies. Boot up times went from 3min + to around 15 seconds. Applications load in a blink of the eye and the whole system overall is much more responsive.
    Synthetics (ATTO and CrystalDiskMark) show that read speeds are over the specified 150MB/sec mark and consistently. The read speeds max out the SATA II port and are around 230-300MB/Sec.

    4K IOPS are near specification too.

    Overall the drive is great and really for the price can't be beat. Id recommend it in a heartbeat.
    I didnt try the migration and cloning software that it included because I did a fresh install and had no real use for it so I can't say how it compares to Samsung's excellent SSD Magician software.

    E' il mio primo ssd. Ho scelto questo crucial perchè è di qualità, e a differenza dei samsung evo, ha la protezione per un'improvvisa perdita di corrente e per i bsod. Forse è un pelo più lento dei samsung, ma sono perlopiù differenze che si vedono nelle misure che nell'uso reale. Ha dalla sua anche il tipo di nand, che lo rende più duraturo.
    La differenza tra un ssd e un hd meccanico si vede immediatamente. Prima dalla pressione del tasto d'accensione al desktop caricato ci stavo 40 secondi. Adesso appena 16. L'animazione di windows 7 viene stroncata perchè già tutto viene caricato prima di finire l'animazione.
    Al contrario di quanto molti pensano, non c'è bisogno di fare chissà quali ottimizzazioni. E' vero che un ssd ha vita limitata, ma parliamo pur sempre di una decina d'anni, se non più con uso normale e senza scritture eccessive. Per chi comunque vuole fare un minimo di ottimizzazione, consiglio prima di tutto di impostare dal bios la modalità AHCI su sata, di installare intel rapid storage technologic e disattivare il link power managment per chi ha il controller sata intel, e di effettuare il test valutazione di windows per fargli "capire" che si ha un ssd e fargli disabilitare automaticamente alcune cose inutili per un ssd. Consiglio inoltre di disabilitare ibernazione, spegnimento automatico dei dischi, l'indicizzazione e, volevo proprio esagerare, spostare la cartella temporanea e file di paging su un hd meccanico (per chi ce l'ha ovviamente).

    I got this bad boy today and installed in my laptop. I decided to do a clean install and not use the included software. Took less than 10 minutes to install in the laptop. I had the bootable windows 8.1 USB drive ready so after the install, popped that drive in and let windows install itself. The installation went smoothly and completed in around 8-10 minutes and I was on my desktop (everything set up) in less than 12 minutes (Pretty good!). I went on to install Office 2013 and I witnessed the fastest installation of MS-Office I have seen till date. I'm excited at this point.

    The BUT - Shortly after completing driver installation and other good stuff that you need to do before you can get a windows PC to actually be useful, the SSD gave out on me. The OS said that it could not detect it. I checked in the BIOS and it was not there. I shut down the PC and waited for around 5 minutes. Booted up and everything works much faster than expected. The SSD was there and working just fine. Might have been a small glitch but I have downloaded Google drive and Dropbox and am going to keep the important stuff on them for the time being and everything else on the external hard drive.

    === EDIT === For those of you that are having problem with the BSOD on waking up from sleep and the drive vanishes from BIOS after that ===
    I was pretty frustrated with my laptop going to sleep and crashing right after that with a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death). After a lot of messing around and even changing the OSs, I stumbled upon a ridiculous “technology” that Intel has built into its motherboards aka INTEL SMART CONNECT TECHNOLOGY and apparently there is a driver for it. Contrary to its name, it doesn't boost your WIFI signal or improve internet or Bluetooth connectivity in any other way. This randomly wakes up your PC from shutdowns and sleeps, tries to connect to the internet to update emails (yes you read that right) and go back to sleep again (Windows no like sneaky software. Windows sad). On the off chance that you have this technology enabled but don’t have the drive installed for it, the battery will discharge even if the laptop was properly shutdown. It may also cause BSODs when the laptop tries to wake from sleep mode.
    If you haven't already configured your emails on your iphones, androids, windows phone and all other OSs out there and you cannot live without every email syncing every single second of the day on your laptop, the below steps are not for you. For everybody else...

    1. If you have Windows 7 or earlier, then enter BIOS by rapidly pressing F2 or F12 (or whichever key takes you to BIOS) on boot
    2. If you have Windows 8 or later, then go to recovery options (windows button and type recovery options) >> Advanced >> UEFI firmware settings. This will ask you to restart and take you to BIOS once you restart
    3. Look around everywhere (because all BIOS have different menu options) and find Intel Smart Connect Technology. Disable it.
    4. Remember to save changes and exit.
    5. If you are having problems with your screen freezing when you connect or disconnect the power adapter, just restore defaults for all power plans.

    It’s not mandatory but you should install the Crucial Storage executive. It will update your firmware if you haven’t already done so. I hope this helps!

    Great drive, build is solid. I own 4 different drives: Samsung EVO 840, SanDisk Ultra II, OCZ Agility 3, and now this Crucial MX100. I can't comment on the life of any of the drives, as they are all not older than 1 year, but I can comment on performance. I have run all the drives on the same i5-4570/8gb machines and I honestly see little to no difference between any of them during use aside from these few exceptions:

    -The Sandisk Ultra II is undeniably the faster booting drive - Windows 7 does not even complete the splash screen animation before booting into the desktop. All the others complete the animation and sit for a few moments (and yes, the holy Samsung is indeed slower booting).
    -The Samsung has the best software for Windows (if that matters to you).
    -The build of the crucial is top quality - just like the Samsung, all metal and feels solid.
    -The Sandisk is all plastic and feels that way.
    -The OCZ is the only one with Linux compatible software. Nice easy firmware updating for Linux users (they all can have the firmware updated via usb if your not a windows user, but OCZ gives you a full GUI tool). Build is a mix of metal and plastic.
    -No drive software with the Crucial besides the 3rd party Acronis backup that does nothing for monitoring the drive health or updating firmware.
    -Linux performance is just crazy with all of them, just remember to manually set up TRIM (Windows does this for you).

    Other than that, I can't see any difference while using the drives. They all are fast and worthwhile investments, but the Crucial stands out due to its awesome build and regular price that the other drives sales prices can't touch! I would recommend this drive over and over. Though if you want to "wow" people with boot-up times, go with the SanDisk Ultra II....I mean WOW!!
